    Stephen – Always enjoy the 90-second analyses and this one is no different. China stocks are inherently risky for the reasons you mentioned. The VIE structure concerns me as well, especially with mega-caps stocks like TCEHY and BABA. I think the biggest risk with VIEs is what happens if/when the decide to split off a portion of the business? There's no guarantee VIE owners will benefit. This was proven out when AliPay was spun off from BABA prior to BABA being public. Majority shareholders of Alibaba, Yahoo and Softbank were basically ripped off and received virtually nothing for AliPay. On the other side of spectrum, Jack Ma took a majority stake in the spun off AliPay. This could easily happen again and there's nothing VIE holders could do about it. I've had people tell me it's not worth worrying about and my answer is simple… It's not an issue until it's too late to do something about. Just my opinion of course.
